Now we have stable colliding beams-first time ever at this energy!
Experiments are collecting their first physics data - historic moment





CERN: first attempt to collide protons at 7 TeV

Nature does it all the time with cosmic rays (and with higher energy) but this is the first time this is done in Laboratory!!
First time in the history!!!!!!!!!!!! World record!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately beam 2 was no good...we had to dump it...going for new injection

Preparing for new injection from SPS, the smaller accelerator that brings particles to the LHC.
After recovery from the beam dump in the previous energy ramp, beam will be soon back. And collisions soon after!
